The 8th webinar in the Sustainable Structural Design Webinar series features talks by Elise Elsacker (Newcastle University) and Stijn Brancart (TU Delft).
Elise Elsacker focuses on the material level, presenting her work on the bio-fabrication and characterisation of mycelium composite materials. Stijn Brancart presents an overview of his work on structural design for change, a design philosophy that considers building structures over their entire lifecycle.
Sustainable Structural Design Webinar series
As the sense of urgency on the climate emergency increases, so does the awareness about the responsibility of architects and structural designers. Both researchers and practitioners are called to action and respond with innovative projects and solutions. The Sustainable Structural Design Webinar series provides a platform to share and discuss a wide breadth of projects and insights on different topics related to sustainability in structural design.
