Letterpress Printing Workshop

10 December 2022 13:00 till 16:00 - Location: Voorburg | Add to my calendar

Letterpress printing is a technique that has been used for over 500 years. It revolutionized the printing industry. While it is no longer used industrially to publish books or newspapers, it is a fun and interesting method for craft projects like…making holiday-themed cards!

Join us at IMBY, a letterpress printing studio, where you will:

  • learn about the historic craft of letterpress printing
  • create holiday-themed materials such as greeting cards on antique printing press machines
  • engage with other internationals
  • meet two professional letterpress printers
  • enjoy snacks and drinks

Eva and Thomas are experienced letterpress printmakers. Thomas lived in France as a creative designer and letterpress printmaker for several magazines. He is so knowledgeable about printing presses, he can even repair them!
Eva has lived in the United States and South Africa. She is now the proud owner of studio IMBY where she runs letterpress classes, hosts business meetings, rents an Airbnb, and creates her own work. She also teaches art classes at local schools and museums.
