08 September 2023 10:00 till 18 September 2023 17:00 - Location: Oostserre - By: Communicatie BK | Add to my calendar

From 8 until 18 September, the exhibtion 'Alison’s Room: An Extended Reality Archive' will be on show in the Oostserre.

Curated by Dirk van den Heuvel and designed by Paula Strunden, the prototype VR installation ‘Alison’s Room: An Extended Reality Archive’ will be re-activated in the Oostserre of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at the TU Delft on 7 September 2023.

Previously, the VR Installation was presented at the Nieuwe Instituut, where Paula Strunden explored virtual and augmented reality technologies in relation to archival studies and design research as part of her secondment at the Jaap Bakema Study Centre for the EU-funded project Communities of Tacit Knowledge in Architecture (TACK). ‘Alison’s Room’ is a reconstruction of the lost work room of British architect Alison Smithson, offering a fresh combination of an immersive experience and the communication of history-based design knowledge. The installation has been nominated for the most prestigious film award in the Netherlands, the Gouden Kalf for Best Digital Culture Production 2023.
