Inspiring Bonsai event in the TU Delft Hortus Botanicus

On 10 and 11 June, the Bonsai of the West event will open its doors for the 15th time in the TU Delft Hortus Botanicus, Poortlandplein 6, 2628 BM Delft. Entrance is € 6 per person. Central to this year’s event is again a beautiful exhibition of some 80 exquisite bonsai.

In addition to the exhibition, workshops on bonsai forms are given for beginners and advanced users. You can also join a guided tour along the many bonsai installations and there is the possibility to attend a demonstration of how a rough shrub can be transformed into a beautiful pre-bonsai. On both days visitors can buy raffle tickets and possibly win one of the demonstration bonsai. This year we will also pay attention to suiseki, or viewing stones, and taichi and chair massage are also programmed in for both days.

Various sales stands offer a broad selection of bonsai and related items, as well as Oriental trinkets. And of course you can experience our tea ceremony.

Tired of watching, participating and shopping, you can sit down for tasty snacks and drinks at the Food Court or take a nice walk in the Hortus Botanicus. In short, all the ingredients for a wonderful day out in the open air are combined here.
