Take the time to reflect on your wellbeing. Let’s take small steps to continue 2023 in a healthy way, as we know that a balance in your physical, social, spiritual and mental health positively affects your everyday life. Come along to X’s Health Week and once again, reflect on what health means to you and experience some of the many benefits of living a healthy lifestyle.

Health Week 2023 is taking place from 6-12 March at X and is all about your balance between the four perspectives of health. Because health is not only about training your muscles and eating healthy. Having a positive attitude in life and feeling balanced is just as important.

What’s there to do?
Check out the schedule below to see which activities you would like to take part in. A lot of activities are free and you don't need an X subscription for them!

Throughout the week, there will be lots of activities; from fit tests and nature bootcamp to a skincare workshop and a creative writing workshop.

Enrolment
Enrolment opens on 20 February at 12.00 for all the activities. Click on the card of the activity you want to take part in. This will take you to the webshop where you can complete your enrolment!

Breathing Workshop

15.30 - 17.00 | Dance Studio A, Photo Studio, Strength | €5, €9, €10

 

If you would like to learn how to master your breath, or more specifically, how to use your breath for strength exercises or singing, then this activity is perfect for you!

We start with a short introduction with basic info on breathing by Jerome Wehrens from B-Mind. He will explain more about different techniques, the science behind it and how it can be beneficial for you.

Line-up:
15:30-15:50 introduction, crash course breathing
15:50-16:00 switch to one of the three workshops
16:00-17:00 Workshop 1 | Laydown breathing exercises by Jerome Wehrens from B-mind.
                    Workshop 2 | Breathing for Vocalists by Marvin Dee. Learn how to control your breath and maintain your voice.
                    Workshop 3 | Breathing for Weight Training by Bas van der Geest on how to use breathing techniques in the gym to improve fitness and strength performance.

What to bring and/or wear to the program?
Workshop 1: bring a blanket
Workshop 2: bring a water bottle filled halfway with water
Workshop 3: wear workout clothes

There is a limited capacity for each of the three workshops. If you have a strong preference for a specific workshop (laydown by B-mind/vocal/strength), please send a mail to Paula at p.m.pronk@tudelft.nl to indicate your preference as soon as possible.
