From a vision where in future energy will be derived mainly from the sun, inorganic materials (salts, metals, water) from recycling or from infinite source and organic compounds (plastics, fuels) from biological origin, the research programme is aimed at new technologies to produce or separate substances using energy close to what is thermodynamically minimally is required, simultaneously addressing process, equipment and product aspects.
