Rossi group

We work at the interface of chemistry, physics and engineering to design complex colloidal particles for self-assembly of novel functional materials. In specific, we focus on the development of novel techniques for the preparation of colloids with unusual functionalities with an emphasis on magnetic colloids. The goal is to gain fundamental understanding of in- and out-of-equilibrium assembly of colloidal particles and use this knowledge to prepare new materials with specific mechanical, optical and therapeutic properties

The Rossi group is part of the Soft Matter division of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Delft University of Technology.

March 2019: Dr. Joe Donaldson is officially the first member of the group! He is joining for a short postdoc on simulations of magnetic cubes in confinement.

August 1st, 2018: first day of the Rossi group at TU Delft.

November 2018: Laura gives an invited talk at the 25th Dutch Soft Matter Meeting

July 2018: Laura gives an invited talk at the Colloidal Seminar at the University of Konstanz

May 2018: Laura gives a talk on colloidal microswimmers at the IACIS in Rotterdam
