Techniques & Facilities

The multidisciplinary research at the Applied Radiation and Isotopes group is supported by a range of different facilities as well as experimental techniques. The state-of-the-art radiological laboratories include irradiation facilities linked to the research reactor (HOR) via a pneumatic tube system, as well as (radio)chemical analysis techniques like ICP-OES (inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry), HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) and INAA (instrumental neutron activation analysis). The in-house cell lab provides the possibility for translation research, as projects generally ask for additional and complementary disciplines like biology, (radio)pharmacology, medicine, and oncology.
