Research

Both in reactor physics and proton therapy (and radiotherapy in general) my main focus is on the development of novel computational methods, primarily in the fields of sensitivity and uncertainty (S&U) analysis, robustness evaluation, optimization and large-scale multi-physics simulation. I am interested in methodology issues (adaptive Polynomial Chaos and adjoint methods, coupled S&U techniques, optimization methods for core loading and radiotherapy treatment planning, reduced order modeling) as well as the implementation and application of computational techniques for real-life, practical problems.
