Facilities
In the PMB, machinery is available for plastic, wood and metal working; 3D-printing; laser cutting; turning; CNC turning (small); milling; CNC milling (3-axis); foam milling; rapid prototyping; drilling; sheetworking; welding; spray painting; and sanding. Simple electronic facilities are also available. Additionally, professional sewing machines and hand tools are available. Do not hesitate to ask one of our employees or student assistants if you are looking for something.
3D printers
In the PMB, multiple Ultimaker (2+) 3d printers are available. There are different nozzle sizes, with 0,4mm standard. If you want to use these printers, you have to subscribe on lists which are hanging beside the printers. To get an optimal result and the shortest printing time, it is recommended to read the Instruction manual and download Cura for free.

Laser cutting
The available laser cutting machine can cut through plastics and wood (not hardwood). The laser cutter is not suitable for metals. To deliver your file correctly, there is also a manual available. Files can be delivered from Monday till Friday between 08:45 and 09:45am. Depending on the workload of the PMB, we strive to process your files within three days.
Maximum measurements: 1200x700 (depends on material thickness).

*DXF files: create a boundary of 1200x700mm to maintain or to make it ease to change the scale.
Foam milling
Besides manual and CNC milling, the PMB has a separate CNC hard foam milling machine. Files can be delivered to employees or student assistants from Monday till Friday from 08:30 till 09:30 AM.

Lathes
There are several lathes in the PMB. It is mandatory to follow an instruction prior to first use. This instruction takes half a day, and you have to make an arrangement with one of the employees. Bring a pen and paper to make notes during this instruction and read the instruction manual to get prepared for this instruction.
