Ir. Carrete, I.A.

Israel Carrete offers technical support for Research and Education at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. He supports student and staff in developing and analyzing the properties of novel materials, while emphasizing chemical and lab-safety. His interests lie in the intersection of product design and material innovation.

Academic Background

Prior to studying Integrated Product Design at TU Delft, Israel pursued a career in materials science and engineering. His research in materials science involved developing polymer composites for 3D printing from recycled water bottles and textile waste.
A curiosity about the applications of new materials in design led him to TU Delft. His graduation project involved characterizing the mechanical properties of a grown plant root material used in biodesign.
