Ir. Eichenlaub, J.A.
Jack is a Researcher at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. His main research interests center on tactile physical product interaction, specifically within the realm of positive mood and wellbeing.
Academic Background
Jack graduated cum laude from the Integrated Product Design programme in July 2022. His graduation project focused on understanding 'fidgeting,' the unconscious and habitual behavior of non-instrumental movement present in everyday life. This 'fidgeting' behavior was linked through research and designed prototypes to a 'productive' mood state. His current research expands the graduation work on fidgeting to consider it's relation with mind wandering, extended cognition, and even a designer's own creativity.
