MSc. Faber, J.

In 2019, Jasper graduated from the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering as an Integrated Product Designer in the field of Medisign. During his graduation project, he researched how a smart inhaler can be redesigned to improve the adherence of asthma patients with low health literacy.

As a designer, he is looking for human-centered ways to use innovative technologies to solve challenging societal problems. For example, using biofeedback to assist chronic pain patients through their rehabilitation program or utilising the capabilities of a smartphone to allow easy and low-cost diagnostics of diseases in low-resource countries.

Jaspers's expertise lies in the fuzzy front-end exploration, including design research methodology, reasoning with theoretical behavior change models and envisioning design goals.

Within his design process, he aims to validate concepts through rapid prototyping and mechatronic design.

In the summer of 2019, he started his PhD. where he researches the applicability of eHealth interventions to low socioeconomic groups.
