Biography

Anton Jellema is a lecturer in ergonomics. He is a member of the department ID, section Applied Ergonomics and Design. He is involved in different courses in ergonomics related to product design and usability testing. He started working at the faculty of Industrial Design in 1990.

Anton Jellema was born in Heerenveen and studied physiotherapy where after he worked as a physiotherapist. Later he studied ergonomics and occupational health and prevention. He came to Delft and shortly after that he finished his study in occupational health with an internship at the RET. 

During his career at the TU Delft, he organised many different ergonomic courses together with companies including Ahold, NS, RET, IBM, Philips, Océ, Alcatel, KPN and TNT. 

He followed a course in Research methodology at the TU Delft and completed this course with an internship at TNO. Besides, he followed several courses in organisation and management, and courses in work and organizational psychology. In this period, from 1993-2008, he was also a consultant in office ergonomics and health. 

In 2015 he obtained a master's degree in ergonomics at the Université Paris Descartes.
