Ir. Kroon, C.P.J.M.

Caroline Kroon is lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.

Academic Background

Caroline has experience as an industrial designer working in multidisciplinary teams, developing new products/experiences/services from scratch to production. Working as a freelance designer she was involved in two start-ups (e.g. Kickstarter campaign 2014). During her career, sustainability has become increasingly relevant to her projects. In 2020 she started a sustainability consultancy Pandocracy where we help SMEs to make the change to a more sustainable and circular business.

Since 2005 she also started working as a tutor at IDE TU Delft and in 2017 she joined the department SDE as a design coach. She is passionate to put people at the heart of her work: “whether when I am advising clients in improving services / products or whether I am teaching students. For teaching, it is important for me to encourage and motivate students to make well-motivated choices and to come up with 'out of the box' solutions. I enjoy inspiring students and getting inspired by students.”
