Jason LaRoche a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering focussing on measuring the climate impact of pharmaceutical clinical research, positioning sustainability to co-inform clinical trial design, and assessing opportunities to reduce climate hot spots.

He is leading the transformation of Janssen Pharmaceutica's global clinical operations towards sustainability. In addition he works across industry consortia to measure and improve our understanding of the climate impact of clinical research and identify and share best practices for reductions. He is developing tools and implementing a change management strategy to position sustainability to co-inform future clinical trial design within Janssen.

Academic Background

Jason is currently a Doctoral Candidate at TU Delft, which he expects to complete in 2025. Before that, he finished his Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at the University of Florida in 2001. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1999.
