Dr. Lupetti, M.L.
Maria Luce Lupetti is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, and part of the AiTech research initiative at TU Delft.
Lupetti's research is focused on understanding and exploring the role of design in the development of new technologies, especially AI and robotics. Lupetti is particularly interested in the potential use of critical design research to steer technological development towards ethical and socially desirable future scenarios.
Academic Background
Lupetti holds a PhD cum Laude in Production, Management and Design from Politecnico di Torino (Italy; 2018). Her doctoral research, focused on child-robot play, was supported by the Italian telecommunication company TIM. Prior to her current position, Lupetti was a Research Fellow at Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS; 2018-2019), and visiting scholar at the X-Studio, Tsinghua University, Beijing (2016-2017).
