MSc. Miao, X.

Xueqing Miao is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. She focuses on sustainable consumer behaviour and circular packaging systems. By understanding the drivers and barriers in the user adoption to sustainable packaging, she wants to explore how service design can stimulate more sustainable decisions and engage users in the circular economy.

Academic Background

Xueqing Miao obtained her MSc in Product Service System Design from Politecnico di Milano in 2019 and her BSc in Industrial Design from Dalian University of Technology in 2017. Her interest in the topic ‘circular packaging systems’ was aroused during her master study, and her master graduation project was about a sustainable express packaging service. With a special interest in sustainability and strategy, Xueqing joined the DOS department in 2020.
