MSc. Ubeda, J.
Julia Ubeda is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.
I am particularly interested in investigating how data and different modelling approaches could provide alternative insights about city dynamics and human behaviour to inform city decisions. I have been working at the intersection between spatial data analysis and the design of (urban) digital tools. My experience working at the City of Amsterdam, stimulated me to design and prototype digital tools to support urban policy making processes by using spatial data visualizations, which inspired me create consultancy agency, SpaceTraces.
My PhD research is funded by NWO, and it is part of the Urban Project “Designing Rhythms for Social Resilience” in collaboration with UvA, AMS and The City of Amsterdam (Gemeente Amsterdam).
