Industrial Design Engineering

Ena Voûte is Professor and Dean of the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.

Academic Background

After graduating at this faculty she spent 25 years in industry with Unilever and Philips where she had roles in marketing, innovation, strategy and business management, in B2C and B2B, in various countries, often with global responsibility. 

Academic research and education are major activities of the design faculty she leads. Delft designers are creative yet realistic, human centered, tech savvy interventionists. Ena says:

“We are inspired by the societal challenges we have ahead of us and the possibilities that new technologies can offer. We aim for improvements in life from a human perspective. We love to rehearse new futures by envisioning future developments, communicating them in many different ways and prototyping to test impact. Our research outcomes and graduation projects inspire with their creativity and have impact with their applicability.”
