Dr. Wu, J.

Jun Wu is an Associate Professor of Computational Design and Fabrication at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. He joined TU Delft in September 2016, following a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, DTU Denmark. Jun Wu received his PhD in Computer Science in 2015 from TU Munich, Germany, and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2012 from Beihang University, Beijing, China.

His research is focused on computational design and digital fabrication, with an emphasis on topology optimization, also known as generative design. His research has been recognized with best paper awards at prestigious conferences, including the Symposium on Solid and Physical Modeling 2019 and the World Congress of Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization 2019. In addition, he received the SMA Young Investigator Award from the Solid Modelling Association in 2021. He serves on the editorial boards of two academic journals, Computer-Aided Design (Elsevier) and Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (Springer).
