PhD networks

Promood-IDE aims to organise events that contribute to a strong academic culture and a good social atmosphere within the PhD community of IDE.

We (co-)organised these former events :
2013 - Frequent drinks at I.D-Kafee
2013 - IDE-PhD day
2012 - Visit the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven
2011 - Food for thought: critical discussion culture within the faculty of IDE

We represent the IDE-PhD candidates of our faculty and try to organise a series of events that are relevant for them. We are always open for new ideas, so if you have any suggestions or comments please let us know! Please note that Promood-IDE is not the same as Promood, since Promood-IDE only focuses on PhD candidates of the IDE faculty.

Facebook group

You can now find your fellow PhD candidates of IDE at the Promood-IDE Facebookgroup. This group is a place to share PhD related happenings (both social and academic). It's also a place to discuss and share knowledge about conferences, journals and other research- or PhD-related subjects that might be interesting for other PhD candidates at our faculty.

This group is within the TU Delft network in facebook and can only be joined and followed by people that have a valid email address (which sadly makes the process of joining a bit more complex).
The steps to join the group ‘PhDs in IDE (TU Delft)’ within the TU Delft network on Facebook are:

  1. Open
  2. If you are already a member of the "Delft University of Technology" group skip to step 8.
  3. Enter your TU Delft email address and click "confirm".
  4. You will be asked to enter your Facebook password to request a confirmation email.
  5. Open your TU Delft email inbox. Follow the link in the email you received from Facebook to confirm your email address.
  6. Re-enter your Facebook password to join the TU Delft Facebook network.
  7. Open
  8. Click on "Join Group" to join the "PhD social group". A request will be sent to the group administrators to add you to the group.
