TUDelft portal and AHN

The Current Dutch Elevation (Actueel Hoogtebestand Nederland, AHN) map is a digital elevation map of the whole of the Netherlands. It contains detailed and precise altitude data, including multiple elevation measurements per square metre. Various versions are now available. Data for AHN2 was collected between 2007 and 2012. Data for AHN3 is being collected between 2014 and 2019.

A project group at TU Delft, under the guidance of Professor Peter van Oosterom from the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, has developed a viewer and downloadable tool for the AHN2 version. Link to the viewer (AHN2 point clouds) on this page.

AHN viewer and postal code tool

The AHN viewer is also available via the Waterschapshuis website. With this viewer, map layers can be compared using a swipe tool and elevation profiles can be created based on AHN2 and AHN3. This file can also be explored by entering a postal code.
