The Institutional Repository of the TU Delft contains scientific documents produced by TU Delft researchers. Nowadays many publishers allow authors to make the final author’s version of their publication freely accessible via the repository. A final author’s version is peer reviewed without the format and information of the publisher. Check the contract with your publisher about copyrights and publication rights. This contract usually gives a good indication whether you are allowed to add your publication to the Institutional Repository.
- If you do not have an author’s contract or you have a limited contract, you should check the index of publishers and titles on SHERPA/Romeo. Here you can find all options and overviews of reuse policies of different publishers and scientific journals.
- If your publisher is not among those listed, you will often find information about rights on the website of the publisher via guidelines or instructions for authors and contributors.
- If you already have a contract you could approach the publisher directly for extending your rights.
- Alternatively, you can always ask the Copyright Information Desk for help with permission and reuse.
