Gardening is the art of planting and growing all sorts of greenery; plants, vegetables, small trees, herbs and flowers. You can design and plant an entire garden, but the plants on your balcony or in your kitchen are also part of gardening. There is a lot to learn about cultivating vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers.

At S&C you will have the possibility to learn more about the cultivating of plants during this Gardening course. The lessons will be given on the Campus Farm on the S&C terrain. We’ll work in our own section of the garden and greenhouse but during the course you will also learn what you can do at home.

The focus of the course will be on edible plants and working naturally, so without the use of fertilizers and pesticides. You will learn the theory and put this into practice and discuss the entire lifecycle of plants, from sowing to harvesting. Next to all this, gardening will also help you to relax and discover many new flavours.

The days are getting longer again. Slowly nature will wake up from her hibernation; an exciting time for the garden. In the coming course we are going to lay the foundation for the new gardening season. That means there is a lot of sowing to do, both outdoors and inside the greenhouse. Let the spring come!
