Soapbox Sessions

Share your story with a wide audience!

Would you like to learn to talk about your research enthusiastically and accessibly – accessible enough for a TED-style talk? Then sign up for the soapbox sessions.

Sessions include professional training as well as the opportunity to get an interested audience somewhere in Delft. Would you like to talk about your research into injury prevention at the baseball club? Or would you like to have an audience of amateur painters so you can share the latest techniques to print realistic copies of paintings with them? Let us know, and we’ll think along with you.

Early, middle or late, the stage of your career doesn’t matter; what matters is your eagerness to improve your ability to talk to a broad public. We have room for 16 TU Delft researchers. Those selected will receive two half-day training sessions.

You also get an individual coaching session before you go on stage.

The soapbox sessions are organised by WIJStad and Studium Generale. We want to make TU Delft research projects accessible to a broad public in a fun way that also benefits you as a researcher.
