Prof.dr. A.J. (Annoesjka) Cabo

Profile

Annoesjka Cabo is a Professor in Statistics for Innovation in Education. Since July 2021, she is the Director of Education of the Faculty of EEMCS and since 2019 she is the Academic Director of the TU Delft Teaching Academy.

Annoesjka Cabo studied Mathematics at the University of Amsterdam, did research for her PhD at the CWI in Stochastic Geometry applied to Image Analysis and obtained her degree from TU Delft. Around the same time she successfully completed her training as a professional violinist. Subsequently she played in the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and was active in chamber music and as a violin pedagogue.


Since 2012 Annoesjka has been a lecturer at TU Delft. She taught Linear Algebra, Calculus and especially Probability and Statistics courses at many of our faculties, as well as Advanced Statistics for Mathematics students and the master course Multivariate Data Analysis for students in the master Computer Science.

Annoesjka was director of studies Interfaculty Education (responsible for the service mathematics courses to all non-math majors at TU Delft) from 2016 to 2021. During that same period she has also been leading the PRogramme of Innovation in Mathematics Education (PRIME). In this role she was committed to professionalising lecturers and to matching mathematics teaching to the needs of the different faculties. Moreover her ambition was to successfully implement the innovation project, while searching for efficiency in testing and involving students in educational math innovation.
