Ir. A. van Stijn
Anne van Stijn works since 2016 as a doctoral researcher in housing management at Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, Department of Management in the Built Environment. She graduated in 2016 cum laude and with an honours degree from the TU Delft, Faculty of Architecture on the development of an integral rehabilitation strategy for the early high-rise housing in China.
Her doctoral research focusses on the development of solutions for circular renovation and improvement of the housing stock from the ’70 and ‘80’s. In this research, she develops these solutions from strategy to applied prototypes and demonstration cases in co-creation with housing associations and industry partners. Next to her doctoral research Anne is involved in various educational courses, network activities and research projects related to circularity in the built environment. In the research project CIK, she contributes to the development of a circular components for the built environment: The Circular Kitchen.
"Creating a circular economy within the built environment is one of today’s big societal challenges. In my research, I develop circular renovation solutions for the existing housing stock. I develop these solutions in co-creation with housing associations and industry partners from a strategic level to applied prototypes and demonstration cases. The development of these solutions requires an interdisciplinary approach. I specialise in applying such an approach in which design, supply chain and business model are considered simultaneously.”
