Biography
Bedassa holds Bsc and Msc in Meteorology Science from Arba Minch University, Ethiopia. He has work experience in academia and industry. He taught courses in Arba Minch University at department of Meteorology and Hydrology, and Adama Science and Technology University in the department of Natural Resource Management. In industry sectors, Bedassa worked for National Meorology Agency, Ethiopia as data management and numerical weather prediction expert. Also, Bedassa worked for Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA), Ethiopia as senior project officer based at Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) to mainstream agro-meteorology advisory service.
Currently, Bedassa is a PhD researcher. His research objectives are characterizing, modeling and forecast of wind power ramps in the current and project climate using the state of the art of climate model and neural network. Bedassa works with Prof. Dr. S. J. (Simon) and Dr. Sukanta Basu.
