Research interests
Divya’s research interest includes:
- modelling soil spatial variability
- modelling stratigraphic uncertainty
- reliability-based assessments
Academic background
Divya is a post-doctoral researcher in the section of Geo-Engineering. Her research is mainly related to modelling variability in the form of spatial distribution of various geological units, with spatially varying soil properties, within a domain and investigating their influence on the responses when subjected to dynamic loading.
Divya did her masters in 2015 in soil dynamics and earthquake engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. She did her master thesis at the University of Stuttgart in Germany as part of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). She joined the section of Geo-Engineering at TU Delft in 2015 as a PhD candidate on the Reliable Dykes project on the thesis ‘Geotechnical uncertainties and reliability-based assessments of dykes’. She continued working as a post-doc on the same project and since 2021 she is doing her second post-doc on the SOFTTOP project.
