Expertise

Edith is trained as a geographer at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) where she completed a PhD on interprofessional and mutual learning in municipal partnerships and a postdoc research on knowledge brokering and co-creation in food and business research. Edith has ample working experience outside academia in the field of sustainable development, international cooperation,  research communication, text writing and evaluation.

Biography

Edith van Ewijk is a postdoc researcher attached to the Department of Management in the Built Environment, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at the TU Delft. She started 1 September 2020 as researcher for the ‘Stepping Out project’, and will analyze inter-professional and trans-disciplinary learning for sustainable transitions in port area development. It includes a systematic literature review and case studies in Amsterdam (Havenstad) and Rotterdam (Makers district, M4H).

The Stepping Out project is a collaboration between TU Delft, University of Amsterdam (UvA) and University of Applied Science/Hogeschool Rotterdam, led by Prof. Paul Chan. 

Edith also holds a part-time position as a lecturer at the UvA.
