Industrialised Continuous Ultrasonic Welding of Thermoplastic Composites
Biography
Filipp Köhler was born in Stendal (Germany), a small city 100 km west of Berlin. After finishing school, he obtained a B.Eng. degree in “Composites” at the PFH Göttingen/Stade. The study was part of a dual study program (“Dualstudium”) at Airbus which involved an apprenticeship as process mechanic for composites. Afterwards, Filipp earned a M.Sc. degree in “Production Engineering” from the Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden). In 2016 he moved to the Airbus subsidiary CTC GmbH (Stade) and is currently working there as a project leader and development engineer. Since 2018 he is also pursuing a PhD degree at the Delft University of Technology. His field of research is the Industrialisation of Continuous Ultrasonic Welding of Thermoplastic composites.
