Biography

Hazal Deniz Kaya is a doctoral researcher in Design& Construction Management chair at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a master's degree in Construction Engineering and Management at Middle East Technical University in Turkey. Her research interest was mostly related to the strategic decision-making of digitalization for construction companies. She worked as a project assistant and business development engineer in the industry.     
She is currently involved in the ADEPT (Adaptable DEsign Pathway Transitions) project funded by NWO. In her research, she focuses on sustainability transitions in the infrastructure sector. For her study, she works in collaboration with different infrastructure agencies to take practical steps on how they exchange information about sustainability and sociotechnical changes to their future infrastructure network.
