Water electrolysis for the production of green hydrogen can be cheaper and more energy efficient, for example by removing the membrane from the standard alkaline water electrolysis cells. In this project we produce hydrogen from waste water, which means that a second energy saving is achieved. Within this project I am responsible for optimizing the geometry of the electrolysis cell and separating hydrogen from the (super) saturated solution that is produced.
