Biography
Chair CNS/ATM (Communication,Navigation & Surveillance / Air Traffic Management) Investigate how to avoid hazards like traffic, weather and terrain en methods increase the efficiency, greening and safety of air traffic flows. Methods used are simulation, signal processing and big data studies.
Teaching Introduction to Aeronautics, Python Programing & Scientific Computing for Aerospace and CNS/ATM
2007-2013 Dean of the faculty of Aerospace Engineering 1991-2007 Several positions at NLR Amsterdam (Netherlands Aerospace Laboratory) ranging from research scientist to head of the Air Transport Division. Research ranged from handling qualities, flight simulation to ATM & avionics
Signature (and awarded) research on airborne separation assurance, data link and 4D trajectory based operations.
