Biography

Milos Cvetkovic is an Assistant Professor at TU Delft. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. Before joining TU Delft, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at MIT, Cambridge, USA. Milos is working on research challenges of renewable energy integration. He is interested in modeling and control of engineering and economic processes for easier integration of renewable generation and flexible demand. He is fond of combining mathematical methods with numerical simulations. He has strong knowledge of control theory and optimizations.

He is currently involved with the following projects focusing on model coupling:
TradeRES - Designing markets for 100% renewable electricity grids   
DEMOSES - Coordinating heat and electricity grids at regional scale
MUESSLI - Model coupling for multi-energy systems

And with the following projects focusing on digital tools for energy communities:
SHPLES - Energy management systems for self-sufficient energy communities with hydrogen
SynergyS - Digital twins for local multi-commodity trading platforms
REFORMERS - Digital twins for energy valleys

And finally, with the following educational project:
The Illuminator - Do-it-yourself kit for education and demonstration of energy transition challenges and solutions

He is teaching an MSc course on  Co-simulation of Energy Systems and a BSc course on  Sustainable Energy Supply.
