Research Focus

Tom Daamen is Associate Professor Urban Development Management at Delft University of Technology and Director of the Dutch Foundation for Area Development Knowledge (in Dutch: Stichting Kennis Gebiedsontwikkeling). As director of SKG, dr. Daamen leads a research group that focuses on governance strategies in the delivery of complex re/development projects, particularly in and around inner cities. His work concentrates on questions of integrative governance, public-private-civic relationships, financing and land allocation mechanisms, and related institutional reforms. Dr. Daamen works closely with Dutch government bodies, housing corporations, real estate developers and institutional investors.
