Used masks have been transported and sterilized according to a specific protocol and tested at TU Delft and Reinier de Graaf Hospital. The results are promising. Recycled mouth masks could be a good alternative for the shortage of mouth masks and the possible high prices due to the corona crisis; the increasing demand from hospitals, care institutions, nursing homes and GGD’s was one reason for this study.
