2024-04-18 | Service design & user research in zorgtechnologie, Tinybots

2024-04-18 | Development and evaluation of cueing techniques to support people with Parkinson’s Disease when interacting with computer keyboards, TU Delft

Currently, there are about 53.000 people in The Netherlands which have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and this number is increasing fast. PD is a progressive disorder that affects the nervous system and the parts of the body controlled by the nerves, causing problems with movement, mental health, sleep, pain, and other health issues. PD gets worse over time and there is no cure yet. However, therapy, tools and medicines exist that can reduce symptoms and thus improve the quality of life for people with PD.

2024-04-04 | Tansforming a one-time health check into a health journey to promote sustainable health behavior change, Niped

This project is nested in the Enduring Rewards project and is a collaboration between design researchers and psychologists from TUDelft and the healthcare company Niped. Niped offers a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) which organizations provide to measure the health status (lifestyle survey + lab tests) of their employees. Employees who participate in the Niped HRA currently complete a 30-minute survey + lab test to estimate the current state of their health and lifestyle. Participants then receive lifestyle change advice, but receive little intervention or follow-up measurement to assess their improvements.

2024-04-04 | Countering street harassment together how can we involve youth in understanding and addressing street harassment, TU Delft & Erasmus MC & Erasmus University

In this graduation project, we would like to apply a system thinking approach with youth in Rotterdam (with a special emphasis on boys). Initially, we want to find out the thoughts of important stakeholders on street harassment. In later stages, we want to work with them to turn the unravelled causes and behaviours into positive ones via design interventions. Would you like to work with young people to tackle street harassment in their neighbourhood? Then this assignment might be for you!

2024-03-20 | Sustainable innovation field lab, The Green Village

We seek motivated graduation to contribute to this initiative. We have two projects available, but are open to also discuss other ideas: 1. How do we measure resident satisfaction in our living lab? At the Green Village, the focus regarding new innovations lies mostly on the technical aspect, however, the shift towards sustainability is also a social shift. We seek a motivated student to design an intervention within our living lab, to measure resident satisfaction and gather feedback. This intervention could be part of a greater strategy of how to better involve your residents within the living lab, but you could also think of a toolkit or instruction guides on how to improve the social part of your research. 2. The Green Village has a focus on sustainable innovation in the urban environment. Our residents are part of the experiment and directly experience the innovations within their own living space. How can we, as the Green Village, speed up the transition towards sustainability, by sparking behavioral change? Within this project you can think of which group to target, what modes of communication to use and what kind of design intervention would be suitable.

2024-02-14 | Graduation Opportunity Samen Spelen, Hogeschool Utrecht
