Alumna Lefki Loverdou winner Marina van Damme Grant 2020

On Wednesday May 13th, Delft University Fund organised the Marina van Damme Grant Award Ceremony 2020. The ceremony was different this year, namely online. Friends, family, former and fellow students and colleagues called in to attend the ceremony online. After two impressive video pitches and a short jury deliberation prof.dr. Marina van Geenhuizen, chair of the jury, announced that Lefki Loverdou is the winner of the Marina van Damme Grant 2020.

Each year, Delft University Fund organises the award ceremony of the Marina van Damme Grant. The nominees 2020 are: Lefki Loverdou, alumna Faculy of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, MSc. Water Management and Martina Cuschieri, alumna Faculy of Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering, MSc Biomedical Engineering.

TU Delft alumni and donors support Delft technology in the fight against COVID-19

TU Delft researchers and students who contribute to the fight against COVID-19 are supported by the TU Delft COVID-19 Response Fund. More than 750 alumni of TU Delft and donors of Delft University Fund already responded to the call to help. Thanks to their help we have been able to allocate 190.000 euro’s to 8 corona-related projects.

Student Alberto brings wireless monitoring a step closer

In September 2017 Alberto Gancedo started his master programme Microelectronics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS). Alberto’s ambition was bigger than obtaining his degree. His ambition was to develop a small, portable and cheap monitoring device to detect unusual brain activity in premature babies directly after birth.
