Speeding up the energy transition | join us

Ongoing research, new initiatives and labs, collaborations, educating engineers for a sustainable world: all are efforts geared to accelerate the energy transition. It is a complex and interconnected challenge, and we cannot solve it alone. We need the TU Delft community to reach the ultimate goal: a clean, affordable, safe and reliable energy system. Starting 14 January 2022, you can take part in an impactful anniversary programme lasting 180 days.

Tech for Energy | Speeding up the energy transition

Twenty percent of the demand for energy in the Netherlands comes from the houses and the neighbourhoods in which we all live. If we succeed in making that energy demand CO2 neutral, we will take a major step in the energy transition. That is why our 24/7 Energy Lab project is developing a local, autonomous and CO2-neutral energy system for the municipal environment. To achieve this, we are capitalizing on the knowledge and innovations of TU Delft and other partners. We combine and test existing and emerging technology in the unique living lab ‘The Green Village’. While doing so, we will also look explicitly at affordability, acceptance and regulations. We, therefore, introduce the 24/7 Energy Lab project. A project in which we combine all knowledge and innovations from TU Delft and partners to test existing and new technology at the unique living lab 'The Green Village'. Furthermore, affordability, approval and regulations are part of this project. Will you help us to make the energy transition a reality? Read more
