Sustainability at TU Delft
Sustainability is a common thread in everything we do: education, research, valorisation and our own operations. Our ambitions are closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nation (UN), focussing on:
Affordable and Clean Energy, Clean Water and Sanitation, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Climate action and Industry, Innovations and Infrastructure, Good health and Well-being, Responsible Consumption and Production.
Naturally, we cannot do this alone, that is why we share our knowledge with governments, industry, education- and research institutions from within the Netherlands and abroad. The new generations engineers that we educate are an important contribution to a sustainable society.
We are facing global challenges, one more urgent than the next, so it is up to our future generations of engineers to make the world a safer, more sustainable and generally better place.
― Tim van der Hagen, Rector Magnificus and President of the Executive Board
