Uploading slides is very slow, what should I do?
This is often caused by a large amount of LaTeX formulas contained in the slides. There is no solid fix for this problem, only a workaround which may add borders, disable all interactive buttons contained in the PDF and lessen the quality of your slides. This is the workaround:
- Open the PDF of the slides in a PDF viewer (Adobe Acrobat Reader for example).
- Click the print icon.
- Select Print to PDF as printer and click Advanced.
- Select Print As Image and close the window.
- Use the different sizing options to minimize the white borders and click Print.
This should generate a PDF containing the slides as images, which will load faster in Virtual Classroom.
