Patents

Scientific research and education at the TU Delft, regularly results in new technological developments, inventions and software. Exploiting those innovations is important for the society. Intellectual property rights (IP) play an important role in the effective deployment. Therefore, the TU Delft aims to protect the right of ownership (part of) with a patent.

 

A patent enables an invention to be commercially exploit. Knowledge generated at the TU Delft, will get value by application. There are various possibilities for such as the granting of a license to the patent, selling the patent to a market party, by closing research contracts or through the establishment of a start-up.
