People & Contact

Many of the societal challenges in the 21st century, such as climate adaptation and energy transition, strongly depend on technological innovations. TU Delft considers it its social responsibility to bring state-of-the-art engineering knowledge closer to the world of policy-making. The objective of this effort is to contribute to better informed policy making and implementation.

TU Delft | The Hague is a university-wide programme that aims at building stronger networks with key stakeholders, both in the national politics in the Netherlands, but also important international organizations present in The Hague. The focus of this program lies with three main themes, inspired by the current societal challenges: (1) climate & energy, (2) digitalization and (3) safety & security. TU Delft | The Hague brings knowledge and expertise from all TU Delft faculties around these cross-cutting themes, working towards optimal matches between stakeholder needs and researchers’ expertise, related to these themes. Intensified cooperation with our academic partners in higher education is another aim of this effort. TU Delft | The Hague aims at responsible development and implementation of technological solutions for the challenges of the 21st century
