The school of Applied Sciences invites applications for faculty positions at the department of Chemical Engineering. Appointments will be made at the assistant or untenured associate professor level, although appointment as full professor is possible in exceptional cases.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering or a related field. We are inviting applications with clear expressions of research interests and teaching interests in any field of chemical engineering. We are scouting and recruiting year-round and invite applications at any moment in the academic calendar.
The new faculty member is expected to establish and lead a research group of Ph.D. students and post-docs, to advise and teach students, to teach classes in the undergraduate and graduate curriculum of chemical engineering (and possibly related fields), and to contribute to the well-being of the department and university. Faculty members are offered encouragement and assistance in applying for competitive personal research grants. Candidates are expected to have the organizational and managerial skills to interact and cooperate effectively with other research institutes and organizations.

Postdoctoral and PhD positions
In the Dutch academic system, most PhD projects and postdoctoral projects are supported by funds that have been obtained by the research leaders by competitive grant applications. Therefore grants are linked to specific research projects for which a potential PhD student must apply with the research leader. Check here for vacancies.
