M. (Maria) Freese

Profile

Maria Freese is a researcher in the Policy Analysis Section of the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management of Delft University of Technology. She obtained her bachelor in Psychology and master degree in Human-Technology-Interaction from the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg. From 2013 to 2017 Maria worked as a doctoral candidate at the German Aerospace Center in Braunschweig. Her PhD thesis concerns the influence of emotions on decision-making processes in aviation teams. Therefore, Maria has developed two serious games to model complex decision-making processes in airport management.

Research

On July 1st, Maria has joined the T-TRIPP project as a researcher. Within the T-TRIPP project, her focus is primarily on the development of a risk assessment game 1) to make actors in the biotechnology domain aware of safety risks and support them in risk assessment procedures, 2) to bring scientists and policy makers together and 3) to foster their mutual learning.
