Welcome to the website of the Economics of Cybersecurity group at the Faculty of Technology, Policy, and Management (TPM) at Delft University of Technology. We analyze large-scale Internet measurement and incident data to identify how the markets for Internet services deal with security risks.

News

  • March 22, 2016: Hadi Asghari and Michael Ciere's USENIX paper on Conficker cleanup was one of five nominees for the  Dutch Cyber Security Research paper Award 2016. The jury report stated: "The paper describes an excellent and detailed longitudinal statistical analysis of a large dataset obtained through the sinkhole of the Conficker worm, with some conclusions that are useful for a broader audience as well... Overall a great paper to read with lots of data."
    Michael presented the paper at the awards ceremony at ICT.OPEN. From left to right all nominees: Niels van Adrichem (TUD), Dennis Andriesse (VU), Michael Ciere (TUD), Erik Poll (RUN) and Carlo Meijer (RUN).
