I. (Ivana) Slováčková
Ivana is currently a lecturer and a member of the academic staff at the Faculty of Safety Engineering, Technical University of Ostrava, as well as a PhD student.
After finishing her Master’s degree at Natural Science Faculty of Palacky University in Olomouc she worked as a manager in a commercial company and later in the healthcare sphere.
She has worked as a consultant in the health and safety area since 2009, especially focussing on how to change behaviour, increase safety awareness, create safe habits, and build high safety culture.
She specializes in safety culture, effective education, and communication in the safety field.
Ivana’s research interest involves improving occupational safety in companies. The main aim of her work is modification of the existing tool for safety culture evaluation which was used in the Czech Republic during the Safety Culture Award. The new tool should be founded on the scientific method, new findings and theories, and can be used by Technical University of Ostrava for an initial evaluation of safety culture for industrial companies.
