J.F. (Jonas) Feltes
Jonas Feltes is a PhD candidate in the ERC Advanced Grant research project “Global Terrorism and Collective Moral Responsibility: Redesigning Military, Police and Intelligence Institutions in Liberal Democracies” of Professor Seumas Miller. In his PhD project, Jonas investigates mass casualty terrorism and concepts of terrorist weaponry. Specifically, his PhD project aims at identifying collective (institutional and moral) responsibilities involved in the prevention of attacks with mass casualty weaponry in liberal democracies.
Prior to joining TU Delft in August 2016, Jonas studied history and philosophy at the University of Cologne (Germany) as well as history and philosophy of science at Utrecht University (The Netherlands). During his B.A. and M.Sc. studies, he specialised in the history and ethics of technology and security. In his master thesis, he investigated the relation between selected explosive technologies and terrorism.
